  • Are you interested in learning more about the dimensions of sustainability?
  • Do you want to expand your knowledge about sustainable chemistry, the potential of geothermal energy and utopias as designs of a sustainable society?
  • Do you enjoy discussing interdisciplinary perspectives and possible measures with international peers?

In 2015, 193 nations agreed on a groundbreaking agenda at the UN General Assembly - the 2030 Agenda. Its official title is "Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development". The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were set to enable a decent life worldwide and at the same time preserve the natural foundations of life in the long term. Only 6 years left to achieve these goals.

What must, what can each individual do today and in the future to live sustainably? What sustainable measures can we take as a community today and in the future? What anchoring is required at a structural level - socially, economically and politically - in order to counter the limited availability of natural resources such as water, energy and food?

Join us! Explore scientific concepts, conditions and chances to shape a sustainable future. Take a critical look at sustainability concepts in natural and social sciences. Examine development endeavors and uncover limitations. Identify opportunities for shaping a sustainable future and generate approaches for action.

Your participation offers you the unique chance to discuss current scientific positions from multiple perspectives with experts from the fields of chemistry, geography or geosciences and others. The whole program will be held in English.
